Miriam College is spearheading environmental conservation in the academic setting. With the establishment of the Environmental Research Center, the college institutes studies in a wide range of subjects that deal with the environment. The design of the building takes into account this noble objective by creating a building that is unique in the sense that is a building that is environmentally friendly and not energy dependent. The use of solar panels, the orientation and openness of the structure ensures that his building embodies the mission that the center works towards.
