ASSUMPTION COLLEGE CHAPEL

Makati City

The Assumption College Chapel was design as the spiritual focus for the Assumption College Campus in San Lorenzo Village, Makati City. Situated along the front of the campus, it will serve both as a chapel for the college and a church for the village community.

Its form is derived from the ideals of the Assumption College. Simple in design, it meets the functional requirements of the users while at the same time becomes an icon that is a landmark in the Campus.

The curving upsweep roofs meet at an apex that carries the main cross of the structure. The curved lined add to the image creating a form that is feminine and graceful. Slender columns that allow for large openings in the ground floor support the main roof. Plant boxes that ensure a natural setting within the exterior and interior of the structure surround the Chapel making it blend with its surroundings and enhancing the open spaces within the campus
